Kailasahar, 17 Sept 2022: A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a bike and a tuk-tuk in Chantail 3 Ward area of Kailashahar, Unkoti district.
Lakshmi Rani Ghosh aged 50, a resident of Chantail Ward No. 3, was on her way to Kailashahar from her home. The problem occurred after going about 50 meters from the house.
Allegedly, Lakshmi Rani Ghosh was traveling on the left side of the road, and a speeding bike came from the front and hit Lakshmi Rani Ghosh. Then a tuk-tuk came at a fast speed from behind and hit Lakshmi Rani Ghosh. Due to this, Lakshmi Rani Ghosh was seriously injured and fell on the ground. Lakshmi Rani Ghosh was severely injured in the head and chest.
The locals witnessed the incident and rushed to the spot. Then the tuk tuk driver was able to escape with the tuk tuk. Locals were able to catch the bike driver. The bike number is TR02G8852.
Later, the witnesses sent information to the Kailash Fire Department. Fire department personnel rushed to the spot and brought the seriously injured Lakshmirani Gosh to Unkoti District Hospital for treatment.
Currently, Lakshmi Rani Ghosh is undergoing treatment at Unkoti District Hospital in critical condition.
