Khowai, 16 Oct 2022: Rajib Bhattacharya, Tripura state BJP president, visited Khowai district for the first time after becoming BJP state president on Sunday. Since taking over as the state president, he has been moving from ‘district to sub-division’ ‘from hill to plain’ with a bird’s eye view of the 2023 assembly elections. The goal is to capture the seat of power in the 2023 assembly elections.
As part of this, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya visited Khowai district on Sunday. After the tour of Khowai district, he went to the mandal office at Chakmaghat under 29 Krishnapur assembly constituency of Khowai district. The leaders present there to welcome the State BJP president were the chief Whip of the state assembly and MLA from Teliamura Kalyani Roy, MLA from 27 Kalyanpur Pramodnagar constituency and BJP Khowai district president Pinaki Das Chowdhury, Tripura State Sports Council president Amit Rakshit and a bunch of BJP leaders including Khowai district president Jaydeb Debbarma.
On this day, he first went to the office of 29 Krishnapur Assembly constituency after taking a light meal at a functionary’s house at Chakmaghat. He interacted with party workers and supporters there.
Later, the state president was taken to Khowai town, in a procession of about six hundred bikes, and there the BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya will preside over a bunch of programs.
Rajib Bhattacharya, sitting in the Krishnapur mandal office and facing the media, said, “This is my first visit to Khowai district after becoming the provincial president. Moreover, he said, this visit is mainly aimed at re-establishing the BJP government in the 2023 assembly elections and jumping into the polls with god-like functionaries.
