Agartala, 19 July 2022: On July 18, the 15th presidential election phase was concluded in the state of Tripura along with the rest of the country. The ballot boxes containing other election materials were sent to the office of the Delhi Returning Officer on Tuesday.
The ballot box was taken from the strong room of the Tripura Assembly to the MBB airport around 6 am on Tuesday through tight security. State Election Commission Chief Officer Kiran Gitte and other administrative officers were present. This ballot box will be handed over to the Parliament Returning Officer.
57 MLAs voted in Tripura. One MLA (Brishaketu Debbarma) did not vote. The remaining two MLAs Sudhan Das and Rampada Jamatia exercised their franchise in the Delhi Parliament.
