Belonia, 27 Sept 2022: Women and Youths from Bilonia Bonkar area are roaring in the anti-drug campaign, getting partly success.
Belonia floating in the sea of addiction is constantly in the news headlines. Despite the efforts of the defense administration, nothing is being done. Even if some drug addicts are caught sometimes, the police administration is not able to reach the drug dealers. So the drug dealers are continuing the drug trade by evading the bewildered police administration. Finally, the mothers and sisters of Bonkar Ghat Talukdar Para area became active against drug addiction and conducted a campaign against drug addiction throughout the day on Tuesday. Because the youth and many families are becoming helpless under the influence of addiction.
The current name of this talukdar neighborhood is Kuttapara, the mothers and sisters of the area said in anger. They fear for their children. Because Biswajit Dutta, a resident of this area, and his sons have been associated with the drug business for a long time. Promila Bahini said that every day a large number of youths and school college students come to this house to take drugs. Biswajit Dutta and his sons abused the locals when they said anything in this regard.
Finally, the local people got fed up and launched an operation against this drug addiction. This Pramila Bahini has achieved some success in this anti-narcotics campaign. Three drug addicts were caught and handed over to the police. They also chased more than 10 drug-addicted boys, but they failed to arrest them.
Promila Bahini said that they will continue this campaign against drug addicts and drug sellers in the area. Some of the youth of the area also joined them in this campaign. Local women complain that youths between the ages of 18 and 28 come to the area daily to take drugs. The women complained that the security of the mothers and sisters was in question due to drug dealers from different places, and various thefts were happening regularly.
Now it is to be seen what kind of role the administration takes against this in the coming days. The people of the area are happy with this kind of campaign by Yuva and Promila Bahini.
