The oath was recited by the President Kakali Das Dutta. Surprisingly, more than two thousand minors have dropped out in South District. They did not return to school. She gave more information and said that 334 girls have been married. 119 of them are enrolled in school.
What is more surprising is that in this southern district, there are four minors married in class VII, 13 in class VIII and 108 in class IX, which is alarming. He said those who marry girls below the age of 15 can be jailed for two years under the law. Also, the same law applies to those who will marry a minor i.e. from the priest to the parents.
