Belonia, 01 Oct 2022: Deputation was made on behalf of Akhil Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad to Saju Wahid, DM of South District on Saturday.
Along with civil society, the AVBP student organization is concerned about the increase in drug addiction in Belonia. On Saturday, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad gave a written deputation to District Magistrate Saju Wahid in this regard.
After the deputation, the members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad said that they have been noticing for a long time that apart from various sections of the society, the incidence of intoxication has started increasing in various schools and colleges of Belonia. The members of the organization said that AVBP can bring the matter of colleges under control but nothing can be done in the schools. Therefore, the AVBP student organization was forced to approach the administration.
They also said that the District Magistrate has agreed with them on this matter and assured them that the administration will be with them if they take any action to stop this addiction. Student organization AVBP is happy with the favorable role of the administration. They also said that the student society and youth society should be removed from this addiction and the society should be saved.
