Dharmanagar, 25 Sept 2022: In order to make the upcoming Durga puja festival lively for all, cloths were distributed among sixty housewives under the initiative of Dharmanagar North District Press Club of Uttar district on the occasion of Mahalaya.
This cloth distribution program was held at the meeting house of government retired employees of Dharmanagar city at nine o’clock on Sunday morning. State Women’s Commission Chairperson Barnali Goswami, BJP Yuva Morcha District President Jayajit Sharma, North District Press Club President Birendra Das, Editor Partha Sarathi Das and Editor Milan Nag, former Editor Mintu Gupta and all members were present as chief guests.
The clothing distribution program of that day was basically the distribution of clothing among sixty housewives in the twenty-five ward area of Dharmanagar Pur Parishad. The guests present at the clothing distribution program said, “In today’s society, we all are always busy with our relatives and friends. But in any festival, we don’t have enough money to buy new clothes for the poor mothers and sisters around us, and we never think about it. Standing at that place, the way all the journalists of North District Press Club have come forward in social service as well as journalism is really admirable and noble initiative”.
The guests also said that in the coming days, the North District Press Club will come up with more accurate and honest news delivery as well as coming forward in a larger scale in social service.
