Five minor thieves in connection with the theft of e-rickshaws and batteries at two separate places in Dharmanagar were arrested by police of Dharmanagar police station in North District on Wednesday. All the arrested were minors. Their house is said to be in the area adjacent to Dharmanagar North Nayapara School.
Officer-in-charge of Dharmanagar Police Station, Shibu Ranjan De, confirmed the incident and said that the police recovered four e-rickshaw batteries from different places after interrogating the detainees throughout the day on Wednesday. After the arrest of the five thieves, a lot of sensational information has come into the hands of the police, and many things were kept secret for the sake of investigation. Other stolen items are likely to be recovered soon.
The police have taken a case against them under specific clauses.
