Tripura, March 02: In a momentous development, the long-awaited TIPRASA Accord is set to be signed today, marking a significant step towards redressing enduring tribal grievances and securing their rights. Key dignitaries, including Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Member of Parliament Biplab Deb, and Tripura’s Chief Secretary, are expected to grace the occasion.
Founder of the Tipra Motha party, Maharaja Pradyot Debbarma, confirmed the accord in an audio message, urging the people of the state to celebrate this historic event as a new beginning rather than a victory.
The signing ceremony will feature the participation of Tipra Motha founder Pradyut Deb Barman, who will sign on behalf of the party. The signing ceremony will be in the presence of prominent figures such as Pradyut Deb Barma, Motha Chairman Jagdish Deb Barma, President Bijoy Hrangkhawl, and Leader of the Opposition Animesh Deb Barma.
A crucial element of the accord is the establishment of a tripartite committee, set to be formed shortly.
