Later, under pressure from the locals, the miscreants returned the bike. Journalist Kalendra Tripura was attacked on this day for no reason. He was saved with the help of Belonia police and local people. It is known that the miscreant tried hard to remove the press sticker from his bike.

Two attackers in Police custody

Kalendra Tripura was taken to Belonia Sub-Divisional Hospital in the night, where he was discharged after first aid. Regarding this, a delegation of journalists from the sub-division reached Belonia Police Station on Tuesday night and spoke to Paritosh Das, OC of Belonia Police Station and lodged a complaint against the miscreants.

In view of that, Belonia police station quickly arrested the two attackers of journalist Kalendra Tripura, who were identified as Uttam Das, age 34, resident of Ram Thakurpara and Kamal Das, age 27, resident of Jajakatpur area and brought them to Belonia police station. They are currently being interrogated by the police at Belonia police station.

The Belonia journalists thanked all the police officers and police personnel, including the OC of the Belonia police station for such action.

Three drug addicts were caught and handed over to the police. They also chased more than 10 drug-addicted boys, but they failed to arrest them.

Promila Bahini said that they will continue this campaign against drug addicts and drug sellers in the area. Some of the youth of the area also joined them in this campaign. Local women complain that youths between the ages of 18 and 28 come to the area daily to take drugs. The women complained that the security of the mothers and sisters was in question due to drug dealers from different places, and various thefts were happening regularly.

Miscreants attacked a young man, leaving him half-dead in Araliya

Charilam, 27 Sept 2022: The miscreants forced a young man out of the house and left him half dead on the bank of the pond near the forest and fled in Araliya of Charilam area on Monday night.

Amir Hussain, the son of Ahariya Saheb Ali, went to bed after finishing dinner. Suddenly, four miscreants entered Amir Hossain’s house, broke the door, punched Amir Hossain in the face, took him out of the house, attacked him in a half-dead state and threw him in a forest next to the field.
