Deadline set for ADC village council election by November : High Court

0

Agartala, 19 July 2022: The High Court has set a deadline for speedy completion of the village council elections. The village council elections of A.D.C. are going to be completed soon.

Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma said that the division bench of the High Court has ordered the election process to be completed by the first week of November. He also said that the case was filed by Rajesh Debbarma and Dalia Debbarma. Later Advocate Anthony Debbarma briefed the complete details of the judgement.

However, for the ruling party, the village committee elections in the state are called a fire test before the upcoming assembly elections. Because Tipra Matha’s power in the hills has doubled after the last ADC election. Which is making the state’s ruling BJP uncomfortable.

Since the last one year, MP Rebati Tripura, minister Rampada Jamatia, and later provincial BJP vice-president Patal Kanya Jamatia have challenged Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarma to take possession of the mountain. But it has been seen that the lotus could not cultivate or spread their roots in the hills upto expectations.
