22 Sept 2022: Nasibeh Samsai, an Iranian woman living in Istanbul, Turkey, is cutting her hair to protest the death of Masha Amini (22) in police custody in Tehran. This protest, which lasted for five nights, has spread to several small and large cities in Iran. Not only Turkey, several women in Sari area north of Tehran also burned their headscarves on this day. Masha Amini died in hospital on Friday (September 16) after three days in a coma following the protests. Iran’s moral police arrested her on September 13 for violating the law of using hijab to cover women’s hair and covering their hands and feet with cloth. He became unconscious in the detention center while in custody.
At one point he went into a coma. Masha, a resident of Iran’s Kurdistan province, visited her relative’s house in Tehran.
