Teliamura, 27 Sept 2022: In the dark of night, the miscreants destroyed the banana trees of the banana plantation, the only means of livelihood of a farmer. The incident took place on Monday night in Maharanipur Kalibari Road area under Teliamura police station.
It is known that miscreants cut and destroyed around 250 banana trees in the banana garden of a farmer named Uttam Kumar Nag in the Kalibari Road area of Maharanipur in the dark of night. On Tuesday morning, the people of the area could witness who or what destroyed the banana trees of the farmer’s banana garden. Uttam Kumar Nag, the farmer who owns the banana plantation, rushed to the news and witnessed the miscreants cutting and destroying around 250 banana trees of various species in his banana plantation in the dark of night. Although he clearly did not accuse anyone in this regard.
In this regard, the farmer Uttam Kumar Nag said that this banana garden was his only resource to raise his family and make a living. He also said that he is a sick with cancer. The farmer’s only source of livelihood has been destroyed by the miscreants. The farmer said that he will report to the police station.
