Election campaigning has intensified ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. A public meeting was held at Krishnapur Bazar of 57 Yuvraj Nagar assembly constituency of North district at 1.30 pm on Friday in support of Shailendra Chandra Nath, the alliance candidate of CPI(M) Congress party. Mohammad Salim, member of West Bengal CPI(M) State Committee moderated the public meeting on Friday.
Mohammad Salim, the moderator of the public meeting of the day, took the BJP party with one hand while giving a speech. He said that after the establishment of the BJP government in Tripura, gangsters are running the rule. The people of the state are fed up with the rule of this government for 58 months. So people united to overthrow this anti-people government. And to oust this government, Yuvraj Nagar needs Shailendra Chandra Nath, the leftist candidate of the Nagar assembly constituency, to win with a huge margin.
Apart from Mohammad Salim, CPIM district secretary Amitabh Dutta, candidate Shailendra Chandra Nath, Congress leader Digvijay Chakraborty and others were present in the election rally.
