Teliamura, 22 Sept 2022: A section of workers outside the state are being beaten up on rumors of child abduction. In several parts of the state, some innocent out-of-state laborers are being beaten at the hands of the angry public without any crime due to the rumors of the boy being caught. The whole state is now heavy with rumors of the child abduction. Some people, including parents of small children, are now terrified by the rumors of the child abduction.
On the other hand, the capital and its surrounding areas are of the people are very strained about the daily incidents of theft, and robbery. Losing faith in a kind of police administration, the common people are now on their own to catch the boys and robbers. One such incident took place on Tuesday night at two separate places in Teliamura.
30-year-old Hiralal Bhengde of Jharkhand from Karilong School Choumuhani area of Teliamura police station area was severely beaten up by the agitated people and handed over to the police. According to local sources, the youth from outside the state was severely beaten on the suspicion of child abduction.
On the other hand, a minor youth from the area adjacent to Teliamura Malvati Bridge was arrested by the people of the area on suspicion of roaming around the area in the dark of night. However, the locals complained that there were two others with him. When the local residents went forward to ask them something due to their suspicions, two of them ran away, and the local residents arrested one minor youth. Residents complain that thefts have been happening in the dark for quite some time in that area. Conscious citizens of the area arrested the young man on the suspicion of being a thief and handed him over to Teliamura police station.
Later, the police of Teliamura police station conducted a search and found no inconsistency in the speech of the minor youth, informed his family on Tuesday night and handed him over to them. On the other hand, police is interrogating a youth arrested from the area adjacent to Karilong School named Hiralal Bhengde. However, preliminary inquiries revealed that the young man is a resident of Jharkhand, who is working as a brick kiln worker in Khowai district. The police are interrogating him further.
