Thieves raided Shiv Bari temple, cash and ornaments taken away

Dharmanagar, 23 Sept 2022: Thieves raided Dharmanagar Shiv Bari on the eve of Durga Puja. This is the second time, a group of thieves raided this temple.

Sukumar Ghosh, Convenor of Shiv Mandir said, on Thursday night, thieves broke the lock of Dharma Nagar Shiv Mandir and stole the gold and silver ornaments of Shiva Tagore. Along with that, the thief broke the two pranami boxes of the temple and took away the money inside. The group of thieves also took away the utensils of the Krishna temple attached to the Shiva temple.

It is known that the priest of the temple witnessed this incident when he came to worship the temple like every day. The news was informed to the police station. Police from Dharmanagar police station came and witnessed the incident.

It is believed that drug addicts may have committed this theft to satisfy their addiction. Dharmanagar police station has started investigating the incident.
