Bishramganj, Tripura – Nov 15, 2024: A conference titled “Creation of Opportunities for Youth” was held today in Bishramganj, highlighting efforts to promote entrepreneurship, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods for the youth of Tripura.
The event was attended by representatives from the District Industries Center (DIC), UCO Bank, Tripura State Cooperative Bank, Charilam Block, and other prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Santo Chakraborty, a well-known entrepreneur from Agartala. These stakeholders expressed a unified commitment to fostering economic growth and opportunities for the region’s youth.
Since its inception in 2021, this initiative has trained over 400 young individuals in various vocational skills such as sewing machine operations, welding, driving, and carpentry. These training programs have led to the emergence of 103 young entrepreneurs who have successfully launched their own businesses, paving the way for self-reliance and community development.
The conference also showcased inspiring success stories from trainees who shared their journeys of overcoming challenges and achieving personal and professional milestones. These testimonials underscored the transformative impact of skill development programs and the determination of Tripura’s youth to build a better future.
Organizers at the event emphasized the need for continuous support, not just in skill-building but also in providing resources and mentoring for young entrepreneurs.
