4 injured in a road accident in Khowai

Khowai, 13 Sept 2022: Several persons injured in a road accident in Khowai on Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning, a three-wheeler auto with passengers left for Kalyanpur from Khowai Jeep stand. The auto driver lost control in the middle of the road and overturned when the auto driver reached the area adjacent to the Khowai fire station. In this accident, four passengers in the auto fell under the auto.

Among the passengers in the auto, 18-year-old Moushumi Dewan Ji, a school student, was seriously injured. Besides, two other passengers and an 11-month-old child in the auto sustained minor injuries. A 45-year-old man named Anil Baran Debnath was also injured.

Among them Moushumi Dewan Ji was seriously injured. Immediately, the personnel of the fire department rescued the injured from the spot and brought them to Khowai District Hospital.

After the incident, the driver fled from there with his autorickshaw. Now it is to be seen what kind of measures the Traffic Department takes to prevent further auto accidents.
