Teliamura, 19 June 2022: The only house with all the family members collapsed due to heavy rains for several days in a row. The incident took place in Ward No. 6 of Korailong area of Vivekananda Nagar Gram Panchayat under Teliamura RD block.
It is learned that the earthen house, the only source of livelihood for the family members, collapsed on Sunday due to continuous rain for several days. As a result, Jayakumar Sutradhar, a carpenter by profession, is going through a hard time.
Having lost his only means of subsistence with his wife and daughter, he has now taken refuge in another neighbour’s house. Many things have been damaged due to the collapse of the mud walls of Jaykumar Sutradhar’s house. Now he wants the government to extend a helping hand, so that maybe he can get back to where he was.
It remains to be seen when government favor will be showered on Jaykumar Sutradhar.
