Dharmanagar, 19 June 2022: Ignoring heavy rains, the BJP held a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Malina Debnath at the ground adjacent to Uttakhali Bazar under the Yuvraj Nagar assembly constituency as per the pre-arranged program. Former state chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Assam chief minister Hemant Bishwa Sharma were expected to attend the rally but could not attend due to heavy rains. However, addressing the crowd on his mobile phone, the Assam Chief Minister wanted a vote in support of the BJP candidate.
The public meeting was attended by BJP Tripura state in-charge Binod Sonkar, ministers Ram Padha Jamatia and Bhagwan Das, BJP state co-president Patal Kanya Jamatia, state secretary Tinku Roy, candidate Malina Debnath, Yuvraj Nagar constituency president Nantu Goswami and others.
Two ministers of state, Ram Padha Jamatia and Bhagwan Das, sharply criticized the CPM at the rally. He also said that after the by-elections, the CPM wouldn’t be seen with a microscope. They say CPM is a rotten commodity in this state, which people no longer accept. So they called on the BJP candidate to win by a huge margin.
Tripura state in-charge Binod Sonkar said he came from Uttar Pradesh, where the Communists were ousted 30 years ago. At present they are disbursed from home and abroad. No one believes this communist. Communists are dangerous for this country.
So he called for the BJP candidate to win by voting. He said that voting for BJP here means strengthening the hand of the Prime Minister, strengthening the BJP.
