Dharmanagar, 02 June 2022: At the initiative of the CPIM Dharmanagar subdivision committee, a group discussion was held with CPIM activists and supporters in three blocks of the Dharmanagar subdivision. North Tripura CPIM district office urged all citizens to come forward for the restoration of Tripura democracy and restoration of civil rights.
Leaders of the Opposition Comrade Manik Sarkar, Comrade Ratan Bhowmik, Comrade Shahid Chowdhury, MLA Islam Uddin, MLA Bijita Nath, and former Minister Fazlur Rahman were present as keynote speakers at the discussion. Comrade Shakti Bhattacharya presided over the function.
Two activists from each block and one CPIM activist from Dharmanagar Municipal Council area raised issues in their area with the Leader of the Opposition. After concluding the discussion with the activists and supporters, a delegation including the Leader of the Opposition met the North Tripura District Magistrate on deputation.
After handing over the deputation to the district magistrate, Shri Manik Sarkar met the journalists at the Dharmanagar cpi-m party office. He said he discussed various issues of the district in detail with the district magistrate of North Tripura. The issues mentioned were: Corruption in mgnrega work, power problems, dilapidated condition of roads, problems in district hospitals, corruption in the distribution of houses under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.
