Belonia, 24 Sept 2022: The incident of the recovery of the body of a woman from the forest adjacent to the Belonia CMO office caused a stir in Belonia. The dead body of a woman with a rotten throat was recovered naked on Saturday morning.
Information was given to the police of Mahila Thana. The police came to the spot, and the dog squad along with forensic team was informed. The people of the house were able to identify the dead body of Sabita Debnath by seeing the saree.
The house of the deceased is in Sat Mura area, aged forty six years. There is confusion about whether it was a murder or suicide. Sabita Debnath was missing for the last 6 days.

Belonia, 23 Sept 2022: A seminar on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was held in Sachin Debbarman Auditorium in Belonia on Friday.
With the objective, “Do not neglect the daughter. They should also be saved and allowed to live. Girls below 18 cannot be married. Girls should be educated. Those who have dropped out should be brought back to school. Girls who do not agree to marry under 18 should be supported and stood by them”, an awareness camp on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was held at Belonia Sachin Debbarman Auditorium on the initiative of South District Administration.
Kakali Das Dutta, President of South Tripura Zilla Parishad, inaugurated the event. Vice President Bibhishan Chandra Das, District Magistrate Saju Wahid and other officials were also present. A pledge to protect girls and not marry below the age of 18 was taken at this ceremony today.
The oath was recited by the President Kakali Das Dutta. While speaking, the District Magistrate highlighted the data about the number of drop out girls and marriages under the age of 18 in South District. Surprisingly, more than two thousand minors have dropped out in South District. They did not return to school. She gave more information and said that 334 girls have been married. 119 of them are enrolled in school.
What is more surprising is that in this southern district, there are four minors married in class VII, 13 in class VIII and 108 in class IX, which is alarming. He said those who marry girls below the age of 15 can be jailed for two years under the law. Also, the same law applies to those who will marry a minor i.e. from the priest to the parents. Sukumar Ghosh, Convenor of Shiv Mandir said, on Thursday night, thieves broke the lock of Dharma Nagar Shiv Mandir and stole the gold and silver ornaments of Shiva Tagore. Along with that, the thief broke the two pranami boxes of the temple and took away the money inside. The group of thieves also took away the utensils of the Krishna temple attached to the Shiva temple.
It is known that the priest of the temple witnessed this incident when he came to worship the temple like every day. The news was informed to the police station. Police from Dharmanagar police station came and witnessed the incident.

23 Sept 2022: PFI or Popular Front of India called for Kerala Strike today. NIA conducted simultaneous searches in 15 states yesterday. 45 PFI leaders were arrested yesterday on charges of joining militancy, supporting militancy and providing financial support to militancy. In protest against that, the Kerala bandh was called today by the organization.
PFI supporters are protesting in Kerala today against the massive NIA crackdown. And this protest took the form of a battlefield. There were incidents of vandalism and violence in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kozhikode and Alappuzha. Stones were thrown at the police. Kerala High Court issued Suomoto ‘Notice’ against PFI leaders in this incident. The court ordered immediate action against this attack in the name of protest. Strikes without notice are already prohibited. The High Court said that at least seven days prior notice should be given.
An auto-rickshaw and a four-wheeler were reportedly vandalized by supporters during the strike across the state. A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus was also damaged. A vehicle was carrying newspapers in Narayanpara area of Kannur district. Petrol bombs were fired at it. There have been several other incidents of vehicle damage. A 15-year-old girl and an auto-rickshaw driver were injured in the stone-pelting incident. Two policemen named Antony and Nikhil were also injured in the attack by PFI supporters. It is known that the PFI also attacked the BJP headquarters in Coimbatore. Allegedly, Protal bombs were thrown.
Incidentally, the ED had started a search operation at 93 places in 15 states from yesterday morning. About 300 NIA officers conducted simultaneous searches in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, West Bengal, Bihar, Manipur. The entire operation was supervised by the DG of NIA.
A total of 106 PFI members have been arrested in 5 cases filed. 45 of them are leaders. Maximum arrests are from Kerala. 19 people have been arrested there. Then there is Tamil Nadu. 11 people were arrested from there. 7 persons were arrested from Karnataka, 4 from Andhra Pradesh, 2 from Rajasthan, 1 each from Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. A total of 61 cadres were arrested by ED and police.
The NIA alleged that PFI leaders organized militant activities and militant training camps at multiple locations. They also trained in weapons. A lot of money, weapons and huge digital devices were recovered during the search. Members of the organization staged protests in Kerala and Karnataka against the NIA raid. They also raised slogans against the Modi government. The organization has called for a 12-hour strike in Kerala on Friday in protest.
