Teliamura, 19 Sept 2022: One wild tusked elephant open rampaged a house including various items, rice stored inside the house in Maharanipur area under Teliamura Divisional Forest Department at around 2 pm on Sunday night.

It is known that on Sunday night suddenly a wild tusk elephant entered the Maharanipur area and went on rampage and entered a house in the area and caused extensive damage to a living room. Destroys various items including rice stored inside the house. Family members alleged that the wild tusk elephants entered the house on Sunday night and destroyed about 320 kilos of paddy stored in the house.

But despite repeated attempts to contact the forest department, for some unknown reason, no one from the forest department could be reached, starting with the ADS team responsible for driving away the elephants. Geeta Rani Das, the housewife of the house, expressed her anger about such a role of the forest department while facing the journalists.

Along with that, a thief named Rafiq Alam was arrested.

However, according to local sources, another young man who was with Rafiq Alam fled from the spot after seeing the presence of the police. Later the police of Teliamura police station arrested the thief named Rafiq Alam and brought him to Teliamura police station.

It is reported that the Teliamura police station will hand over the arrested thief Rafiq Alam and the stolen long-distance lorry to Bishalgarh police station.

Lakshmi Rani Ghosh aged 50, a resident of Chantail Ward No. 3, was on her way to Kailashahar from her home. The problem occurred after going about 50 meters from the house.

Allegedly, Lakshmi Rani Ghosh was traveling on the left side of the road, and a speeding bike came from the front and hit Lakshmi Rani Ghosh. Then a tuk-tuk came at a fast speed from behind and hit Lakshmi Rani Ghosh. Due to this, Lakshmi Rani Ghosh was seriously injured and fell on the ground.
