Boxanagar, 18 Oct 2022: Based on secret information, the police of Kalamchoura police station succeeded in raiding a drug corridor on Monday afternoon. According to the details of the incident, the raid was conducted for several hours from Monday morning up to 5 pm.
Police and BSF of Sonamura police station received secret information that there is a large quantity of drugs stored in Nurul Islam’s house in Bejimara area of Sonamura. As usual, Manik Debnath of Sonamura police station and Additional Superintendent of Police, police, and BSF personnel of Sipahijla district conducted a raid. 481 kg of dried ganja was recovered. Its market value is around 20 lakh rupees.
It is known that the owner of this ganja is Nurul Islam. With the recovery of this ganja, a woman named Amena Begum was arrested. This ganja was hidden under the ground to be smuggled to Bangladesh for sale at a high price. Underneath were these marijuana’s hidden. These ganjas were stored underground in 12 blue-colored drums. Later these ganjas were recovered by the police and taken to BOP first. Later the ganjas were brought to Sonamura police station and a case was registered under NDPS act against Amena Begum. However, the police could not arrest the owner of Gaza, Nurul Islam. The police arrested his wife. She will be produced in Sonamura court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the police started running to arrest Nurul. Ganja mafia Nurul has been involved in the ganja business for a long time, according to local sources. The police did not have the courage to catch him. He is a millionaire who cultivates ganja in different areas of Bishramganj Sutar Mura, and Bejimara areas. It is reported that another ganja dealer is involved in this incident. Now let’s see what comes out of the police investigation.

Also on that day police destroyed 5000 ganja saplings by raiding Ranga Mati Bholamura area.
