29 May 2022: A young man was arrested along with a large quantity of liquor and a car while trying to smuggle illegally. The name of the arrested youth is Nekesh Kalai. The incident took place at Ampi Chauhamuni area under Teliamura police station on Sunday afternoon.
It is learned that Pritam Dutt, the on-duty police officer of Teliamura police station, received a tip-off that Foregn liqour was going to Taidu area from Teliamura illegally in a vehicle from the counter. On the basis of the news, the police inspected as soon as the car number TR03 L 0467 arrived, and the car was stopped and was asked to show the documents of the car. Police led by police officer Pritam Dutt searched the vehicle when they could not show the required documents. After conducting a search, they recovered a large quantity of foreign liquor and brought it to Teliamura police station. The driver of the vehicle and the vehicle along with the liqours were detained.
Nekesh Kolai’s house is in the area under Twidu police station. Meanwhile, the police have taken a case and are continuing the investigation.
