The injured body of the mother of three children was mysteriously recovered naked from a hill next to the house after four months of escaping away from husband. The dead woman’s name is Lakshmi Rani Mahishyadas (41), and her husband is Ajay Chandra Mahishyadas. The house is in Ward No. 3 of Mangalkali Village Panchayat under Dharmanagar Thana of North Tripura District.
District police officers along with local police station, forensic team and dog squad are at the spot. Initial speculation was that she was murdered after the gang rape. Police are searching for the accused lover.
It is known that around 7:30 on Monday morning, the wife of Barai, a resident of SC Para, Ward No. 3 of Mangalkali Village Panchayat, while taking a goat on the hill, saw the dead body of a naked woman and screamed. Swapan Mahishyadas, the head of the local village, was informed immediately. He came to the spot and reported to Dharmanagar police station.
As usual, when the police of Dharmanagar Police Station and Mahila Police Station reached the spot, the dead woman was identified. It is known that Lakshi Rani Mahishyadas, wife of Ajay Chandra Mahishyadas, house is located about seventy meters away from the spot. District police officer Debashish Saha also rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. Forensic team and dog squad were informed.
Forensic team and dog squad arrived and investigated the body and the scene. Shoes, wallet and clothes of the deceased were recovered from different places. Later, the police recovered the body and brought it to Dharmanagar district hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the police confirmed the truth of the incident and said that seeing the dead bodies, it is initially assumed that she was gang-raped and murdered. Moreover, there are many injury marks on the body of the deceased.
Police investigations are continuing to trace a youth based on the complaint of the deceased’s husband. On the other hand, the deceased’s husband Ajay Chandra Mahishyadas said that his wife had been involved in an illicit relationship with a man for some time. When the incident came to his attention, there was a disturbance between husband and wife in the family.
Then about four months ago, his wife left leaving three childrens at home. Later he received calls from two unknown mobile numbers. He was told that his wife is in Bangalore. Then he filed a missing diary in the Dharmanagar police station.
He also said that, he gave some information and pictures to the police officer. He claimed that his wife’s lover and friends brought her near the house and gang-raped and killed her.
Now it is to be seen how much the real mystery of this death will be revealed in the police investigation.
