Agartala, 19 Sept 2022: MLA Brishaketu Debbarma elected from IPFT of Simna Assembly Constituency is losing his seat in the state assembly. On Monday, Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty said that a decision has been taken on the application to reject the membership of Brishaketu Debbarma, which will be announced on Tuesday.
It is certain that the MLA of Simna Assembly Constituency Brishaketu Debbarma is going to lose his membership. After leaving the IPFT and joining Tipra Motha, the stand for his membership was just a wait for the time. The fact that Brishaketu Debbarma is no longer an MLA has been hinted at by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Ratan Chakraborty, on Monday.
The final hearing was held on Monday regarding the application to dismiss the MLA post of Brishaketu Debbarma. But even on this day Brishaketu Debbarma did not come. IPFT President NC Devvarma could not attend due to physical illness. He was the one who filed the petition to reject the membership of Brishaketu Debbarma. However, his lawyer appeared on behalf of NC Debbarma.
The last chance was given to Brishaketu Debbarma to appear in person on Monday. But he did not come this time as usual. The speaker said that the decision has been kept in reserve after concluding the Taurus chapter, which will be notified on Tuesday.
